Elevate your music production and songwriting in a seven-day immersive experience.
Join an intimate group of musicians and producers for a high-altitude retreat hosted at your choice of three private studios located in Abruzzo, Italy, Osaka, Japan, and Arizona, USA. This is an opportunity to connect with forward-thinking artists from around the world, and to recharge your creative batteries through hiking, swimming, and conscious creation.
Developed and led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Di Monte, this 7-day immersion is designed to guide producers, songwriters, and musicians of all backgrounds on a journey of uncovering their unique sound and breaking through limitations as they learn practical skills to amplify their music and careers.

Introduction workflow strategies and time-based challenges.
Business workshops on navigating the music industry as an artist or small company.

Di Monte’s extensive education in music composition, performance, and production at University of Iowa have led him to work with award-winning international professionals — mastering the level of discipline and skill required to help program participants achieve peak performance and expression.

Note: Program space is limited to 8 artists per program, so early application is highly recommended to ensure participation. First come, first served.
Due to space limitations, accommodations will not be provided. However, we are able to make recommendations for local hotels and airbnbs near the studio, as well as restaurants and stores. We are also able to match participants with one another for shared housing if desired.
Lunches will be provided, as well as a farewell dinner at the end of the retreat. Other food and meals are the responsibility of the participants.

About the Instructor:
Daniel Di Monte is a composer, filmmaker, producer, studio engineer, and interdisciplinary artist based in Italy, Japan, and the United States. As a member of Chicago producer team DAN & OCEAN. and founder of STUDIO DI MONTE, he has taught trumpet, music production, composition, and choir arrangement at several acclaimed institutions—including University of Iowa School of Music, The Newman Catholic Center, Lincoln-Way Central High School, and the National Association of Pastoral Musicians Convention.
Di Monte has built and contributed several hours of music to major film studio libraries, podcasts, YT / VTuber live streams, web & network TV programs, and Blockbuster AAA video games — with clients including America’s Got Talent (NBC & HULU), The Crew 2 (Ubisoft & Ubisoft Milan), 411 Music Group, and the world’s best-selling video game franchise Call of Duty (Activision & Raven Software). He has also produced for emerging American artists Pablo Armendariz (20th Century Fox, HBO, HULU, MTV, BRAVO, PBS) and Lewis Knudsen (411 Music Group).
In 2019, Di Monte’s extensive knowledge of music production and creative strategies led to his being hired as Music Director and Composer by Rarefied Recording’s prestigious Recording & Mixing Workshop; working directly with RIAA Gold-certified mixing engineer Brian Scheuble (Elton John, Ice Cube, Nine Inch Nails, Zac Brown Band, Tina Turner, Fiona Apple, and John Mayer). Additionally, his solo work as a recording artist has been featured by the best in tastemaker media, including NPR, A&R Factory, Medium, and The Daily Iowan.
Di Monte holds a B.A. in Music from University of Iowa School of Music, and a B.S. in Nursing from University of Iowa College of Nursing. In addition to his work in classical and contemporary music, he has 10 years of medical practice in multiple nursing specialties. He has been a regular guest on Adrianne Behning’s popular medical podcast “Nursing Uncensored”, while also being an active supporter of his local and global music communities as a voting member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and contributor to The MusiCares Foundation.
