STUDIO DI MONTE is focused on initiatives to improve human health and the environment by conceptualizing a thriving, more sustainable film, television, digital media and commercial production industry in Europe, North America and Asia. We are a growing group of digital media, translation, healthcare and environmental professionals who partner with governments, arts organizations, NGOs, institutions, non-profits and businesses to support and accelerate the adoption of green production practices, technologies, products and services to reduce the industry’s environmental footprint and help the world reach “drawdown”—the future point in time when levels of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere stop climbing and start steadily declining.
As an interdisciplinary art and digital media studio, we specialize in the development of powerful, evocative sounds and imagery across a range of genres and industries. By combining sophisticated storytelling with analog & digital creative technology in service of the Sustainable Development Goals, STUDIO DI MONTE excels at building new ecosystems through engaging narratives, immersive and interactive mobile art experiences, drawdown-aligned production innovations and integrated education.
Managing our impact through Green Production.
We are part of a global effort to help the film, television, commercial and digital media production industry be better for the planet. In the process of practicing our craft, our industry consumes energy and natural resources and generates waste that goes to landfills. Green Production aims at reducing the use of energy and unsustainable resources in favor of adopting cleaner technologies and supporting more sustainable behaviors that improve the environment and human health. At STUDIO DI MONTE, we are shrinking our impact by promoting green building practices, purchasing renewable energy for our studios, sourcing energy-efficient IT and media equipment, upgrading and recycling used equipment responsibly, and implementing sustainability criteria for evaluating new vendors within our supply chain.
Established in 2017 by Italian-American composer, filmmaker, producer and studio engineer, Daniel Di Monte, STUDIO DI MONTE has expanded considerably from its original vision as a Chicago-based record label and tour management company. Now with a deep music, sound design, and moving media library on three continents, several hundred commissions and live exhibitions, and over 100 artists served through our artist development programs, we look towards the future in our commitment to driving sustainability throughout our entire ecosystem.

With our global creative arts and business community, we have the opportunity to catalyze environmental impact beyond our own operations by leveraging partnerships, supporting environmentally-focused creators, encouraging sustainable media innovation, and inspiring our community to take individual and collective action. We continue to develop tools and resources that will make it easier for industry associations and production professionals to learn about sustainability practices, while supporting our supply chain to adopt their own science-based targets that make a difference.
